drandanArt   by Andy Giger

Hi, I'm Andy, the artist behind drandanArt.

I designed my first patterns way back in the 1980s, creating small wallpaper tiles for my Macintosh II. A few years later I designed a lot of seamlessly repeating backgrounds for the stereograms I was developing back then.

Throughout my varied career in science, communication, management and consulting, I have been exploring visual perception and expressions, often developing computer simulations and visualisations in the process. As a pattern designer now, I can make good use of these applications as starting points for my development of new pattern concepts. That is why some of my designs have strong roots in scientific or mathematical concepts, while others grew more organically out of my artistic pursuit of a good pattern.
